Android Developers everywhere are buzzing with the recent release of the Android Honeycomb SDK. This demo video shows us a series of animations running on the screen of an unnamed Android Honeycomb tablet.
Tim Bray from the Android Developers community explains in great detail all of the new improvements in Honeycomb’s animation code. Thanks to his good graces, we are also afforded a look at an unnamed Android tablet running some bare bones animation demo’s from the Honeycomb SDK.
More importantly than the animations themselves, Tim wanted to showcase some of the home screen interactions, and API demos from the SDK which are takingĀ advantageĀ of the new animation framework.
We think this video is worth a peek, and we enjoy the song choice, which admittedly has nothing to do with the Honeycomb SDK.

It’s nice to see Google put some work into things like these simple animations, the subtle interface animations are one of my favorite parts of iOS and OS X.
